Turned Tables.

Chapter 1- Kashyap I tapped on to the power button to scroll down the notification bar. I could see the alarm showing three more minutes to go. I was pretty proud of myself for waking up early by three minutes. I know it doesn’t make much sense. But trust me, for a non-morning person it’s no less than an achievement. I stared at the screen until the alarm rang and I shut it in one go. The mornings with no snooze go very rare in my calendar. I walked up to the kitchen and brewed myself a strong coffee. I am usually very punctual with my coffee proportions. I made sure it was strong enough with hardly any sugar in it. People often label me as a psychopath looking at my sugarless coffee. But its dam worth it for sure. My mobile made a beep on the kitchen counter. This time, as I scrolled down, there was a notification from Ishaan. “ bhai, its mummy pappa ka 25 th anniversary. 80 and 76

Dint u cook this just yesterday? Or did "I" just forget as u always say? U bringing me the newspaper and chai, Reminding me of my evening walk at five. Listening to the 60s with my loud sing-along. Ranting for my glasses that I misplaced in the lawn. taunting me to go sugar-free with my diet, going an extra mile to patch up a silly fight. My worn out hearing often needing you to yell. But sure, i can listen to what your eyes dwell. An after-life or a re-rebirth, no matter where we land. I want you to be the reason for my life to withstand. I know it sounds funny when i say all this Knowing the fact that i am 80 and you are 76.

Roohi picked the knife lying beside and tried to cut the piece into two equal halves. “They are not equally equal Roohi” Naitik tried grabbing on to the bigger slice. “why do you have to be so precise? Its fine you can have the bigger slice anyway.” Roohi jolted her answer and took a bite from the smaller slice. “Acha teek hai.. come.. have a bite from mine” Naitik gently let her have a bite. “I need the olives.” Roohi dived in for a huge bite in one go. “I knew it! just like the old times” Naitik sighed. “umm… I guess” Roohi spoke after an awkward pause. “ well.. can I ask you something Naitik?” Roohi spoke with a muffing tone stuffing the last bite of pizza in her mouth. The pizza crumbs were all over her spaghetti strapped T. “uh haa..?” He tried to respond with an incomplete slice still in hand. “ how about me shifting to Navodaya street? It would be easier for Tanvi to travel t...
